Our client is a global business and IT management consulting firm. At present they are recruiting for a Ab-Initio ETL (Extract, Transform, Load )to join their Financial Services practice. Specifically they are looking for ETL Developers to work within their delivery teams on large scale, complex Extract, Transform, Load (ETL), data warehousing, data migration, data quality and business intelligence projects.

Requirements•

• Demonstrable recent experience in ETL development within a structured development lifecycle, either from a consultancy or end client environment.
• The preferred skillset is Ab Initio, although candidates with wider experience across a range of ETL tools may also be considered (eg IBM Ascential Datastage and Informatica PowerCenter)
• Capital markets, retail banking or insurance industry knowledge
• An ability to design, code and test ETL routines based from high level requirements, understanding the performance, data quality and maintenance considerations in any design.
• An understanding of efficient unit testing of ETL routines.
• Developing under a RAD or iterative development approach.
• An understanding of the principles behind the design and development of data warehouses and data marts, particularly with reference to dimensional and entity-relational modelling.
• Using a pragmatic approach to delivery and problem solving against business requirements.
