Our client produces and supplies advanced IT systems, delivering complete solutions that comprise hardware, software and associated services - all tailored to the optimized design of processes at bank branches and retail outlets around the globe.
They are looking for an Account Director to lead all sales activities in their allocated client account/s, generally by personally working on all opportunities, however, for some sales opportunities, the Account Director will lead the work of other sales personnel.
The Account Director will be allocated the very largest and most strategic existing customer relationships (generally those involving outsourcing arrangements or those with highly complex solutions involving professional services, IT or business process delivery) or those current clients that present the largest future sales opportunity for the Company.
An Account Director will not be assigned to client account/s where the Company supplies only product or implementation and hardware break/fix services, unless there is significant opportunity to widen the scope of the account into outsourcing, professional services, IT or business process delivery in the short - medium term.
Key areas of the role will be to:
* Manage on an annual basis, all client opportunities to a profitable position, accurately forecasting short-term sales, revenue, P&L and margin activities for the client/s
* Create, agree and implement the tactical and long-term sales strategy, approach, account plans and objectives for assigned clients.
* Lead all sales activities within client/s, including the overall solution design, commercial arrangements, sales collateral creation, demonstration of capability, client engagement, negotiation and 'close'
* Commercial lead all contract negotiations and ensure that contracts are in place for sales, loan and ongoing services (outsourcing, hardware and software support).
* Develop and maintain the relationships at all levels from Executive Management down within client/s in order to maximise sales opportunities and 'budget, maintain the highest level of customer satisfaction and position as a key long-term business partner.
* Intimately understand the client's business priorities, IT spend, operational pressures and IT capabilities and help the client with their business cases, to benefit and proactively develop a pipeline of sales opportunities
* Ensure routine use of bid review/approval processes, sales reporting and pipeline management tools
* Manage and mentor any allocated Sales staff and agree objectives to ensure achievement of results. To monitor performance against targets on a regular basis; taking remedial action as necessary
* Introduce specialist Professional Services staff as required into the client to help gain solution opportunities and demonstrate our capability, where this will lead to real business benefit
* Act as an executive escalation point for major issues on the clients service or project delivery
* Actively seek out market and competitor intelligence in order to position consistently as the 'supplier of choice'
* Participate in the appropriate forums and events in order to raise the profile in target market
* Promote PR and marketing activities associated to the client
* Oversee the client debt positions ensuring no overdue payments are accumulated
* Support the Executive board, generating initiatives and completing ad hoc duties and special tasks when allocated
