This is a software engineering business providing automated source code analysis tools helping customers produce the most reliable and secure software possible. Having attracted significant investment funding, the rate of growth is accelerating, both organically and by acquisition.
The Account Manager is a new role in the UK.
The Role
To develop and close new business deals via telephone and Webex. Collaborate with field sales development team to receive opportunities as well as creating your own opportunities
Develop relationships with customers in the territory (UK and Europe)
Renew and expand the companys relationship with existing customers. Identify, develop and close new business within those customers, including other locations/departments as well as creating selling opportunities for additional products.
Identify new contacts within our company database from incoming leads, outside targets and prospects, generate interest in the product suite and begin the sales process. Rapidly assess and qualify sales prospects and assess the steps through to deal closure.
Manage business through the pipeline including customer trials in collaboration with the EMEA sales and technical teams.
Manage and document all activities within salesforce.com
You
A strong understanding of the software development tools business including customer dynamics and reasons for purchasing software tools.
Demonstrable success working in a software or technology business selling technical products to technical audiences.
An understanding of the software development process and the ability to learn quickly about new products and technologies.
Able to have technical conversations about software development and to ask relevant and credible questions at levels from Engineer to VP.
Sound track record of sales and a track record of exceeding quota from existing and new customers.
Relationship building and closing skills.
Familiarity with salesforce.com
Whilst this is an office based role you should be able to travel occasionally to trade shows and sales meetings.
French language capability would be an advantage.
