Outstanding Opportunity - Aerospace/Defence Production Operations Manager

An outstanding international aerospace and defence business is now searching for a talented Production Operations Manager to take responsibility for projects with a value of between £1 million and £50 million, effectively managing a team of 5-20 staff.

The Production Operations Manager will be responsible for implementing the production strategy in accordance with company standards and setting clear production and improvement targets, ensuring they are accurately measured and achieved.

The post holder will also be responsible for managing all aspects of the production on a day to day basis to ensure that all technical, programme and cost issues are executed in line with company standards and customer requirements.

Potential candidates should have extensive production management experience within an aerospace or defence environment and the ability to deploy a vision for the delivery of operational efficiency and agility within an operations environment.

You will have in depth knowledge of project management systems, planning, supply chain strategies, ERP and MRP2 in addition to procurement or supply chain management experience.

Critically, you will have managed large budgets within a LOW VOLUME manufacturing environment!!!!
