Application Architect - Global Investment Bank

A Global Investment Bank requires an Application Architect who is capable of providing architectural guidance to development teams within a global division that incorporates over 30 applications. The successful candidate will chair the divisions design management board to review key development decisions and providing expertise with regards to introduction of new technology.

This is a great opportunity as the successful candidate will work within a technology division that services Sales, Compliance, Research, Utilities, Market Data and Client Data functions. There is a diverse client base, therefore, applicants must have the ability to leverage consensus and gain respect / confidence across the division.

It is essential that applicants hold strong Investment Banking business knowledge; either broad experience covering multiple asset classes / front - back office IT or specialist knowledge within a relevant area (Sales, Compliance, Research, Market Data, Reference Data, Client Onboarding). A strong understanding of the full trade lifecycle is highly desirable. Architecture experience should cover Java / J2EE, Relational Database Management Systems (RDBS), Data modelling (UML) and SOA.
