Application Architect / J2EE Technical Design Authority - Investment Bank

A leading European Investment Bank requires an Application Architect who is capable of providing technical analysis, documentation and development oversight for a mission critical Equities post trade processing platform. Responsibilities will also include:

- Assisting BAs with analysis work and interfacing with users to research / evaluate requirements - Providing development estimates for new projects and enhancements (managing expectations) - Mentoring junior technical staff and assume project management responsibilities when required

Crucially, the successful candidate will be the Architect for the Equities post trade processing platform and, therefore, must ensure compliance with internal standards and strategy. Applicants must have experience of J2EE architecture / design patterns / open source frameworks, Websphere Application Server, Unix and Oracle. Experience of working in the financial markets sector is also expected.
