Our client is looking to recruit a perceptive Area Sales Manager to manage and develop their regional sales function. This global organisation is recognised as a world leader in providing comprehensive electrical design systems. Their product has a true global reach which spans over a network of accomplished subsidiaries and distributors located in more than 54 countries on 6 continents.

*Direct sales in the key regions -Acquisition of new customers, non-stop business exploration for direct sales -Further business development/Sales with existing customers -Sales support of local sites of international key accounts *Distribution and major accounts -Cooperation with strategic partners in trading and industries -To support distributors under headquarters distribution management *Presales and Marketing -To plan sales and implement marketing in the region -To play a vital part in joint marketing activities with partners *Business consulting -Holistic consulting for the corresponding product class incl. the associated services -Process-oriented consulting and creation of demand while aiming to sell our entire service and solution spectrum -To supervise distributors in commercial terms *Controlling and business report -Weekly activity briefing to the country Manager. Monthly Business report *Turnover upon new market/clients to fulfil sales targets *Target-oriented and profit-responsible sales management in assigned region *Participation in trade fairs, work¬shops and business negotiations Presentation of the product strategy and philosophy at customers, partners and trade shows

The candidate should be technically qualified or have a technical background in the field of electrical engineering/ automation technology.

   

Above all else, the proven ability to ?Solution Sell? technical products is key. In-depth market and branch knowledge in the electric and automation industry; Working knowledge in electrical engineering/ automation Proven track record in direct sales of electric components or software solutions Professional business experience in acquiring and serving customers in the region Know-how in following-up/turning over business potentials to achieve sales target in the region

Very strong social competence proven through existing personal/business nets; Excellent interpersonal skill to convince and guide business relationship

Ability to work in a solution-oriented and analytic way with the aim to competently consult and convince the customer; Ability to explain complex and correlated topics

Strong negotiator ; Self-assured communication relating to foreign company and personnel

Knowledge of interactive working process of a world-class enterprise; Ability to communicate within the entire working system just in time

Command of standard office software

Regional knowledge to help channel further sales/ distribution

Flexible working hours, regular travel
