Our client is a government facing UK subsidiary of $27bn global organisation. Professional and effective bid management is at the heart of their commercial strategy, both as it relates to the selection and pursuit of new opportunities as well as the ongoing commercial management and maintenance of effective relationships with government, contacts and third party suppliers.
This role will take responsibility for the commercial management of specific customers to develop effective long term business relationships and to lead the bid management of major tender opportunities. Working closely across the business with account managers, product development teams, and company legal advisors, will enable you to play a leading role at customer, commercial and contract review meetings.
Successful applicants will have specific expert bid management skills across all aspects of the bid cycle including determining customer requirements and response strategy and structure, bid launch, bid management, writing commercial sections for terms and conditions pricing etc, determining bid / no bid decisions, and tender review meeting preparation and participation. You will ideally have experience of using PRINCE 2 as well as previous government sector exposure across complex multi million pound bid opportunities. You will ideally be educated to degree standard in a business discipline or a relevant technical / scientific field. Applicants with security clearance are particularly welcome. Experience derived from the following and similar sectors would be of interest: secure printing, identity solutions, defence manufacturing, aerospace, nuclear, rail, energy and government IT / technology projects.
