Bid Manager - IT Outsourcing and BPO

London

Our client, a leading IT and business services company, that provides business consulting, systems integration, and IT and business process outsourcing services is looking to expand their central government bid team based in central London.

 

Our client is looking for exceptional individuals with proven expertise in the formulation and delivery of innovative and large scale, outsourced IT services agreements and Ideally you will have expertise in (one or more of):

  • Applications Management Outsourcing.
  • Business Process Outsourcing
  • Infrastructure Technology Outsourcing

As you would expect your role will work closely with a the sales teams with you taking full responsibility for leading and winning high value outsourcing contracts in the central and local government market places.  At any one time you may be either managing a series of smaller opportunities, or devoted to a single large bid.

You will need to lead and motivate bid teams to produce innovative and successful bids. 

 

Key requirements for the role include:

  • Excellent client-facing skills, making a postive contribution to client briefing meetings associated with the bid, and where appropriate chair such meetings
  • Ability to sell the value proposition to the client
  • Ability to focus on win-win for the client and supplier.
  • Broad commercial awareness, able to understand the different commercial models that might shape a deal and drive activities with the outcome in mind
  • Ability to define and present compelling documents and presentation materials for client consumption
   

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, producing concisely written, innovative and well presented proposals, assisting teams to produce excellent presentations
  • Ability to manage relationships with third party partners and subcontractors
  • Management of a multidisciplinary bid team in diverse locations to ensure timely development of bid materials
  • Naturally you will need to demonstrate proven ability to manage large, complex outsourcing deals, ideally within applications management, BPO or ITO and with values in excess of £50m TCV.
