Our client is a global provider of mission-critical chauffeur drive services to the investment banking and financial services industries. As the market leader in their segment, they have offices in London, New York and Hong Kong. An opportunity now exists for an ambitious individual to join the company as a Business Development Director.
This is a critical role, responsible for driving the profitable growth of the company and will involve spearheading the launch of the company into new markets through the development of new product and service offers.
This role offers the chance to get as close to running your own business as you possibly can without the risks of actually starting one. Youll be joining our client at a very exciting phase of its development, and success in this position will bring the opportunity to join the companys board and receive equity in the business within 12-18 months.
As the Business Development Director you will manage and direct a small sales team working from the companys offices in London, New York and Hong Kong. Travel on a global basis will be required. Due to the nature of the business you must also be prepared to play a hands-on role and assist with sales development.
Your duties will be to:
- develop key, strategic relationships with long-standing clients and ensure contract retention on a global basis
- seek out and secure new opportunities for profitable growth including the development of additional services and new markets
- grow the business through the successful roll-out of new and innovative products and services
To succeed in this position you will have a demonstrable track record of personal success in opening doors and winning new business in a competitive business-to-business environment, ideally in a service industry.
You will also have experience of negotiating at a senior level within large organisations but equally focussed on the potential needs and priorities of SME clients who form a critical part of a balanced client portfolio.
