Our client is a well established global market leader within the CONTRACT INTERIOR market sector. They are a forward thinking, multi-million pound Turnover Company who set the standards within the market with their exceptional service. Due to continued success and growth an exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER ideally with CONTRACT INTERIOR experience, experience in a similar marketplace such as CARPETS, FLOORING, CEILINGS, BLINDS, INTERNAL PROTECTION PRODUCTS or ANY INTERNAL PRODUCT THAT REQUIRES SPECIFING or someone who possesses experience of dealing with Architects & specifiers throughout THE SOUTH OF THE UK.

As a BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER, you will be responsible for the sale and development of the company’s extensive line of CONTRACT INTERIOR SOLUTIONS throughout THE UK BUT MAINLY THE SOUTH EAST. You will be responsible for your own personal individual target, ensuring you hit set target and further develop the company turnover selling into a customer base including RETAIL, COMMERCIAL, GOVERNMENT, And THE EDUCATION MARKET and into NHS, so working to a target is something you will be familiar with. You will assume personal responsibility for planning, development and growth of future Key National Accounts, to maintain, develop and expand the company’s service portfolio range within these accounts. Developing a business plan and initiatives that will maximise the business potential of the region is crucial.

Key accountabilities will include:

• Assess territory potential and realistic market share responsibilities.
• Together with your Sales Director, develop and agree National Targets, together with agreed pricing and margins.
• Work with your team/customers to achieve all KPI’s.

Person Specification:

The ideal candidate will have experience in the CONTRACT INTERIOR SOLUTIONS market, an allied market such as CARPETS, FLOORING, CEILINGS or ANY INTERIOR PRODUCTS or someone who possesses experience of selling to major Architects. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, enthusiastic, determined, will be organised, have a flexible and ‘hands on’ approach to work and be able to communicate and represent the company at all levels in a structured, dynamic and professional fashion. The BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER must be able to demonstrate an innovative approach to developing sound profitable business and present convincing financial and business arguments to High-Profile Customers.
