ROLE: As Business Development Manager you will be responsible for new software and services sales to PLC (and potentially other) companies within the EMEA territory (actual territory to be defined). You will be involved in the development of a sales plan to aggressively meet pre-defined sales target objectives. You will then work to schedule meetings (phone, web, in person) with prospective prospects and existing clients to sell them the solution.
Their solutions sell in a price range from a few thousand pounds per year for an ASP solution to hundreds of thousands of pounds in licensing, hosting and service arrangements.
RESPONSIBILITIES: a) To meet and or exceed pre-defined sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis b) To coordinate a sales effort across an internal team of professionals c) To network both internally and externally for the purpose of gaining new leads and winning new business d) To be able to learn and effectively demonstrate the line of software products and services in order to win new business e) To consistently update sales information into the sales database for pipeline and management reporting
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) Proven experience selling a software application and associated consulting and training services in both a licensed and ASP environment b) Past success in selling strategic, six figure solutions across a PLC company. c) Ability to listen to a client, understand the value in their products and sell them on the complete solution d) Ability to multi task, prioritize and follow up on multiple sales opportunities on a timely basis e) Ability to understand and present a technical solution f) Self motivated, highly competitive and able to work under the pressure of a sales quota
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) Experience selling to the legal and or tax community (company secretaries, deputy secretaries, general counsels, director of tax) b) Experience selling to the finance community
