An environmental research consultancy and service provider is seeking a new business focused Business Development Manager. The company provides data analysis on company emissions and natural resource usage and presents these in financial and quantitative terms. The company offers expert advice and research to major corporations, both public and private. Their clients also include institutional investors, government departments and associated agencies.
The Business Development Manager will drive growth and new business into corporate organisations across various verticals. The Business Development Manager will be expected to manage the entire sales process; identify the prospects or opportunities, prepare sales presentations, negotiate contracts and manage the client relationship during delivery of the services
and products. Main duties will include: Developing sales strategies and plans to secure new sales, work with Marketing and PR to develop effective marketing plans to support sales activities and liaise with the Research and Development teams to assist with the delivery of the research projects.
Requirements:
Track record of new business sales to large corporations
Proven experience with sales, preferably in the data services or consultancy
Strong selling and negotiating skills are essential
Desire to win business and work in an autonomous environment
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to cope with an important workload quickly
