Provides strategic direction for the development and growth of the IP core network, systems and services. Establishes IP Network and Services Performance benchmarks consistent with ?industry best practices? and drives improvement strategies. Provides effective technical leadership in sourcing, evaluating, implementing and upgrading the hardware and software components of the IP core network and systems to meet capacity requirements and service quality standards. Leads the projects and technical initiatives for IP core network development projects. Develops guidelines and specifications to guide the tendering, negotiation and contract preparation activities.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor`s Degree in Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent from a reputed University. 8-10 years in planning, development, installation, testing and commissioning of Internet Protocol (IP) core network systems and services, preferably in a large and reputable Telecom Company. Specialized training and/or qualification in hardware or software elements of IP systems and services will be beneficial.

Competencies:

* Expert level knowledge in Internet Protocol systems and infrastructures and service quality. * Ability to establish and maintain high level interaction with vendors, suppliers, contractors etc., * Expertise in frequency planning for IP systems and services; ability to establish Engineering standards and specifications. * General Management capabilities and exposure to the major functional areas impacting the management Engineering functionalities- Finance, Purchasing, Contracts, Materials Management, HR etc. * High level Project Management skills.
