Business Development Manager Central Government - IT Outsourcing/BPO

Our client, a leading IT and business services company, that provides business consulting, systems integration, and IT and business process outsourcing services is looking to expand their central government sales team based in central London.
This is a front line sales role for experienced sales professionals capable of developing a compelling sales proposition, managing the sales and engagement and pushing the sale to a successful conclusion.Naturally you will be able to provide board and senior-level engagement skills, influencing the key decision makers within an organisation and identifying key issues that could be resolved by my clients portfolio of services across all areas of the clients business.
Key aspects of the role include:-
Development and introduction of new business opportunities within the central government marketplace
Establishing sales strategy and account plan for each major opportunity
Involvement in all bids and proposals, sign off of key commercial decisions
To build and sustain sales pipeline, achieving revenue targets
Building long term relationships in customer organisations (senior contacts and business not just IT focus
To ensure customer satisfaction and positive references for future business
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to build relationships with key decision makers at CE level, understand the customer business and how the central government market operates. Key to this role will be your experience and understanding the Government change initiative, experience and track record of senior engagements within Public Sector and your leadership of significant propositions/proposals.
You will need to demonstrate that you have engaged on large systems integration projects and ideally have some experience of multi-year total outsourcing contracts. My client offers a total outsourcing portfolio including IT infrastructure, business applications; business change and in some cases outsourcing of business processes.
