Our client is an independent wealth and asset management group providing financial solutions and products to high net worth private clients and institutions. Funds under management is currently around US$ 5.8 billion, of which US$ 2.6 billion is managed through its multi-manager hedge fund portfolios, whilst US$ 3.2 billion represents the market value of the properties in which the group is invested. It operates from a network of global offices including the UK, the Channel Islands, the Netherlands, South Africa and Israel, with an associated office in Switzerland. It also has representation in Australia, Brazil and India.
Role and Responsibilities:
Manage a small team of client reporting analysts.
Ensure all client deadlines (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and ad hoc) are met, maintaining a scorecard to monitor targets.
Manage and enhance the standard presentation material production process including sign off by compliance and develop a data warehouse approach to marketing material.
Work closely with sales team to produce tailored reports where necessary and complete proposals for potential clients.
Liase closely with the back office team based in Guernsey, particularly ensuring clients are on-boarded correctly.
Work with sales teams to ensure client queries are answered in a timely manner and provide regular sales stats / MIS.
Work closely with the investment team and understand clearly their process, systems and fund/performance aspects to enable clear creation and dissemination of information.
Work with the Strategic Development Manager to identify any areas of automation.
Skills required:
Must have hedge fund / fund of fund experience and have managed a team before.
Be comfortable with fund management data, specifically performance measurement and attribution calculations, risk and general statistical data.
Strong technical and PC skills in organising and managing data are required and proficiency in software applications is essential.
A business/ economics/ finance degree and/or qualifications such as Securities Industry Diploma or IMC would be ideal but those having comparable experience in other fund management firms, will also be considered.
Highly numerate and literate with good written and spoken English.
Independence and confidence; ability to communicate with personnel at all levels within the business including, portfolio managers, operational specialists and sales personnel.
Team spirit and willingness to learn and take on work which may be outside the scope of normal duties.
Strong planning skills, with the ability to work unsupervised to deadlines and excellent attention to detail.
