COMMERCIAL DIRECTOR
Russia and CIS

Our client is a world leading supplier of tank gauges, submersible pumps and services for fuel management. This equipment monitors over 500,000 petroleum storage tanks at retail stations around the world. Reporting to the Area Manager of Russia and the CIS and based in Moscow, an experienced Commercial Director is now required to provide leadership in the development and implementation of the sales strategy in the CIS region. You should have the drive a potential to take full responsibility for Russia and the CIS region within 1-2 years.
RESPONSIBLITIES
• Formulate, direct, and develop business strategies and plans to achieve targeted sales growth and maximize opportunities
• Monitor and analyze market and customer activity to provide information for long term planning and company expansion working closely with EMEA marketing. Manage the Russian and CIS marketing function.
• Increase sales by forging more developed relationships with current customers, and by proactively developing new business opportunities

    • Establish and maintain key senior level contacts with customers and other partners to ensure a clear understanding of the end-user and wider market needs
• Actively drive and continuously improve the sales process in Russia and the CIS. Proactively manage the sales channel to maximize opportunities, coverage and conversion
• Select, train, develop and motivate the company’s sales, marketing and technical staff to achieve desired objectives
• Take sensible commercial decisions and balance investment with likely return.
BACKGROUND AND SKILL
• Graduate or equivalent with a technical discipline preferred
• Consultative and solution based experience in a technical business to business environment
• Experience in Key Account Management
• Minimum of 5 years experience in sales with a proven track record in driving sales growth
• Proven track record in managing large tenders and conducting negotiations independently
• Russian as native language strongly preferred with fluent English
• Able to train and motivate CIS sales team
• Commercially astute
