Energy Power Resources Limited (EPRL) is the leading biomass renewable energy generator in the UK with a portfolio that includes three power stations in East Anglia, one in Scotland and one in North Lincolnshire. The power stations burn a variety of biomass fuels. Currently we are in the process of expanding our portfolio.
We now have an excellent opportunity for a COMMERCIAL MANAGER who can make a significant contribution to the planned growth of our established business, develop and maintain existing relationships, whilst delivering new opportunities.
Reporting to the CEO the key role of COMMERCIAL MANAGER will:
Develop, agree and implement long term contract strategies for various fuel streams
Identify and develop new fuel streams
Manage day to day logistics and interface with fuel suppliers
Develop a contact /relationship strategy for suppliers
Develop a procurement strategy
Prepare monthly and ad-hoc commercial reports
Manage business risks and identify and deliver opportunities
Ensuring maximum recovery of contractual entitlements whilst maintaining and enhancing working relationships with the Client and Subcontractors
In this key and exciting role you will lead a small operational team ensuring that EPRL optimises its fuel requirements (on a short term and long term basis), manage logistics, contract negotiations and procurement. In addition you will be involved with business development activities from the procurement phase through to commercial operations.
A background in procurement, commercial negotiations and logistics is essential. Applications are welcomed from COMMERCIAL MANAGERS with experience and a proven track record in managing critical logistics with a good knowledge of agricultural and/or waste markets.
You will have a relevant degree qualification, CIPS or equivalent and be able to demonstrate a proven track record in senior commercial roles preferably in the agriculture or waste sectors. Experience in contract management and strong commercial and financial acumen is a prerequisite as well as sound knowledge of contracts with strong negotiation skills.
