This US biotechnology company which, since its inception just 20 years ago, has grown rapidly into one of the largest biotechnology companies in the world is in search of a Director of Shared Services. The company employs more than 3,000 staff across three continents with its primary areas of focus including anti-virals (primarily HIV and HBV), cardiovascular, respiratory and anti-fungals. In response to continued growth and to scale the finance infrastructure to enable the organisation to support and develop its expanding European footprint, the firm will be setting up a Shared Service Centre in the Republic of Ireland. An opportunity therefore exists for the right individual to establish and operate a centre of excellence for European Operations. Coupled with this is the opportunity to be part of a team designing

and deploying a new ERP platform for all European affiliates. As the ideal candidate, you will have been involved in previous Shared Service Centre establishment, and will have an excellent understanding of what it takes to create and lead such a centre for a global multi-cultural organisation. In addition to this relevant candidates will demonstrate: ·Strong commercial experience, communication and leadership skills ·Good technical finance knowledge ·Experience of managing teams ·Pan-European experience ·Exposure to the design and deployment of ERP systems ·Motivation and the ability to work in a complex matrix environment
