EMEA Sales Engineer / Pre-Sales Consultant - Enterprise Software


UK or Europe / £50,000 Base + Bonus + Comprehensive Benefits

Our client is a leading supplier of Enterprise Software Management solutions for asset recognition, licence entitlement and purchase optimisation. With offices worldwide and a market leading portfolio of products and services they are now looking for a successful and experienced sales engineer/pre-sales consultant. 

The successful candidate will have pre-sales, enterprise software, and potentially network experience as well as excellent customer facing skills. Key aspects of the role include:-

  • To provide deep product and industry expertise to support the sales team (client visits, demonstrations, technical discussions, business cases – especially ROI conversations with clients)
  • To engage with clients at a technical and business level to develop and present the value proposition.
  • Helping to close license and services contracts
  • Understanding the customers’ requirements and their technical/network architecture
  • Specifying the technical approach and design
  • Supporting solution implementation either directly or via partner organisation
  • Providing business consulting/advise to partner organisations

The successful candidates will have demonstrable pre-sales and/or professional services experience from a competitor (e.g. Symantec, Tivoli, HP) or another enterprise software organisation. Full product training will be given as part of your induction as well as ongoing support in understanding the value proposition and the business case justification associated with Software Asset Management products.

   

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership, interpersonal and communication skills, confident and excited by the enterprise software market place. Ideally in addition to English you will speak French, German or Spanish and understand the cultural differences of doing business across EMEA. This role will require considerable travel as you will need to meet business partners on a regular basis.
