Air Technology Group, located in Sunbury-on-Thames, has developed a £30m business with strong product lines into Aerospace, Defence and Rail industries,
through its ability to design and manufacture fans, motors, drives and controls as individual components and integrated cooling systems.

This is an outstanding opportunity to deploy your electro-mechanical engineering knowledge and technical leadership to a team of 10 engineers in product development, systems and project delivery. While this is clearly challenging we are not necessarily looking for an experienced people manager; indeed this is an ideal first management position for a Principal Engineer or Project Leader who is keen to progress and would welcome the on-site support of a very experienced Engineering Director, who is keen to develop a successor.

With the ability to interpret customers’ specification requirements and, liaise effectively across the business, you will be fully engaged from initial concept through to delivering an overall coherent design process within applicable Aerospace Standards. As a result, some UK and overseas travel will be required.

With electrical/mechanical engineering qualifications, your subsequent experience should be within a substantial engineering led business, preferably Aerospace or Defence, enhancing your commercial awareness and the ability to organise design to both cost and time targets. In addition you will be able to lead and inspire this long established and hard working team to facilitate change and achieve hitherto undreamed of levels of excellence.

The business is already significantly profitable and is poised for another phase of expansion based on its excellent reputation and track record of delivery of a wide range of components and systems employing innovative engineering processes.
