Finance Director

£60,000 - £80,000 + Benefits

My client a well established subsidiary of a NASDAQ listed US owned business is looking to appoint a Finance Director.

The Finance Director will be a key member of the company’s executive team with responsibility for planning and carrying out all financial and administrative responsibilities of the company as well as assisting the Managing Director in other value-added projects. You will also work strategically with the Managing Director to help grow the business, analyse deal economics, improve profitability and identify ways to improve existing processes and procedures.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Managing all financial aspects of the company including tax and statutory reporting obligations
• Ensuring the accuracy of all monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports to be provided to US management
• Critically analysing business performance
• Performing the company’s annual budgeting and planning process
• Managing the relationship with the external auditors, ensuring the annual audit is completed in a cost-effective and timely fashion
• Managing the company’s banking relationships ensuring that the company has the proper capital structure in place
• Supervising, training and motivating the finance team
• Reviewing new sales contracts
• Ensuring Sarbanes-Oxley compliance

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with significant commercial experience gained within progressively senior corporate finance roles. You must possess strong technical skills and knowledge of US GAAP would be advantageous.

As a strong communicator you will be able to build relationships and influence at all levels and demonstrate a flexible “hands on” approach. Previous experience of managing a team is a pre-requisite.
