Our client, a highly successful software development company, is looking for a commercially aware Finance Director to support its growing business. This is a rare opportunity to join a privately owned company which is well established and with a truly entrepreneurial culture. The business has experienced an exciting period of growth over the last few years with turnover in 2007 of £13m and 160 employees.
Responsibilities:
Direct the production of all financial reporting and day to day financial matters
Financial advice to the MD, Board and shareholders
Work with senior management and the Board to produce business plans and to track performance
Develop, implement and monitor financial policies and procedures
Establish and direct Treasury function
Financial / commercial lead on contract bids
Ideal candidate:
Professionally qualified senior finance professional
Strong commercial sector experience ideally in service or software development businesses
Board level calibre
Up to date knowledge of UK accounting standards and company law
Highly motivated team player
