This role will take responsibility for all finance responsibilities for the UK region including the accuracy and timeliness of preparation of financial statements, budgeting, cash management, audit, compliance, finance resources and will also maintain internal controls. Reporting to the Finance Director for Europe and to the UK Managing Director, you will also work closely with the OTS Logistics Group, Regional Finance Group based in Antwerp and the Global Finance Group based in Los Angeles, USA hence gaining further exposure to international industry.

You will be a fully qualified accountant – ACA or ACCA and proven at operating in an international commercial environment.

*Significant proven experience within financial management
*Career experience of managing teams of 10 + finance personnel
*Experience working within corporate group guidelines and ability to deliver within set timelines reporting in line with deadlines
*Significant expertise in financial reporting and generally accepted accounting principles
*Sound knowledge of tax and treasury functions as well as core finance functions
*Specific knowledge of Oracle Financial systems is highly desirable
*Experience working within a multi national company is desirable
*Career experience within the logistics/distribution, freight forwarding or shipping industry is desirable
*Excellent communication skills
*Ability to deliver at both a strategic and hands on level

Basic salary in the region of £65-80,000 plus benefits

This role offers the opportunity to utilise corporate career skills but within an Essex based role. Travel to Milton Keynes and occasional travel to the US will be part of this role.
