ROLE: a) Checking, review and approval of all rental invoices, sundry fees and other asst finance invoices; advising airline of payments due; liaising with lessors / financiers on queries. b) Creation and maintenance of financial information on aircraft fleet. c) Creation and maintenance of information and filing of original documentation, deal ?bibles? and archiving. d) Agreement / negotiation of Letter of Credit amounts with lessors as required. e) Procurement, recording and maintenance of market information on aircraft leasing. f) Involvement in any group transactions specifically related to asset finance / leasing arrangements and banking facilities g) Involvement in various corporate transactions including acquisitions / due diligence processes h) Liaison and provision / exchange of information to various internal and external parties: Such as operating lessors and asset finance banks, external lawyers and professional advisors, other colleagues within the group including treasury, tax, insurance, finance, engineers and airline management, external auditors and tax advisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES: You will also be required to assist the Head of Asset Finance when necessary with: a) closure of all aviation transactions on schedule and within budget. b) negotiation and preparation of documentation for intra-group leasing. c) sub leasing in and out of the group, wet leases, engine and parts leases. d) Fleet extensions - negotiation and documentation. e) Fleet rollover - sourcing of new aircraft, including sourcing of financing proposals, analysis, evaluation and recommendations. f) Delivery and redelivery processes for leased assets.
Financial reporting responsibilities: a) Production of some monthly management accounting information. b) Production of quarterly fleet reports (fleet list, market info, debt numbers, fleet numbers). c) Provide financial support and analysis to both the group and airline on leases. d) Provide year end and half year accounting support on leases, and assist with divisional budgeting and forecasting.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent), a financially established professional. b) Excellent organisational and time management skills, and strong priority-setting skills. c) A confident individual, interpersonally very capable, and prepared to influence and work with people at various levels, both internal and external, including the senior management team. d) A willingness to demonstrate flexibility, with occasional requirement to travel. e) Cheerful disposition and ability to work at times under pressure, with a proactive approach to the role.
DESIRABLE SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) Prior experience / involvement in contracts or legal documents. b) Experience within the airline industry. c) Commercial experience or awareness.
