GENERAL MANAGER - AGGREGATE PRODUCTS Location: Qatar Salary and Benefits: £60-70k + bonus + benefits

THE COMPANY * This international building products manufacturer has a worldwide turnover of over £2b, and a reputation as a global leader. * Due to a company re-shuffle in the Middle East, the requirement for a General Manager has been initiated with key experience covering all technical, financial and operational issues within aggregate, ready-mix and asphalt divisions of the business.

THE ROLE * The Middle East business is looking for a General Manager to oversee operations of three asphalt plants together with five asphalt contracting gangs with a budgeted volume of 1m tonnes by 2010. There are also two concrete plants with a budgeted volume of 500k m³. * Responsibilities include full PandL reasonability for

the Qatar Business, with a budgeted turnover projected of US$12m in 2009 rising US$30m in 2011. * You will ensure that the business maintains and improves its SHE and QA systems internally and through external auditor conditions. * You will oversee all recruitment of staff and all operational matters. KEY EXPERIENCE REQUIRED * The successful candidate will demonstrate their ability to grow revenue within a building products manufacturer and contracting business. * Individuals should be degree educated with experience within building products and aggregates, as well as formal management training is required. * The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead and motivate a diverse group in a contracting business. * A strong commercial and customer facing background is important.
