Working for a global specialist e-procurement organisation, the ITIL Change, Configuration and Release Manager / Software Release Manager will own the system configuration, code change control and release management against a global portfolio of IT services and applications.

The ITIL Change, Configuration and Release Manager / Software Release Manager will own Release Management and Configuration Management processes; own multiple test environments; build, maintain and manage the change management database of both Hardware and Software globally; provide operational support, root cause analysis and resolution of issues and incidents relating to Release and Configuration management; manage source control using Visual SourceSafe; plan, track and report all releases; manage Risk, Issue and Dependency management with corresponding remedial actions and contingency planning to ensure successful implementations and work and negotiate with the business for release outages. In addition the ITIL Change, Configuration and

Release Manager / Software Release Manager will develop and maintain detailed Process and Technical documentation for Release and Configuration Management; provide and Initiate detailed Release Notifications; perform trend analysis of releases and CMDB and provide input to continuous process improvement; and prepare and provide regular reporting on work status.

Candidates for the ITIL Change, Configuration and Release Manager / Software Release Manager role must have strong experience of enterprise change, configuration and release management in a critical high availability environment; integrating ITIL based processes; managing source code; managing and executing code deployment; release planning; Risk, Issue and Dependency management; knowledge of Microsoft Visual Source Safe; an understanding scripts using VB, SQL and other languages and have strong communication skills.
