Our client, a large Primary Care Trust seek to appoint a high calibre professional as Deputy Head of Informatics to take a lead in the trusts information analysis and interpretation service to support the achievement of the Trusts corporate strategies/objectives by working hand in hand with each of the relevant directorates.
Main Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities include:
Planning and managing the work of the following Information Sections:
o Provider Information
o Performance Management
o Commissioning Information
o Public Health Information
o Data Quality
Ensuring the implementation, maintenance and development of appropriate technical, professional and quality standards across these information sections.
To provide managerial leadership, support and development for the listed Information Sections ensuring that targets and objectives, both internal and external, are met.
Responsibility for Patient Care, including monitoring, diagnostics and investigations
Line management responsibility for Information Management Sections, including performance monitoring, training and dealing with disciplinary issues
To identify requirements for new posts in Information and to support the Head of Information in the recruitment and induction processes.
Monitor performance and report on progress at various levels within the organisations as appropriate.
To ensure that the information systems used for this area of work are sound and efficient in their operation and maximise the use of information technology.
