North West / £450 – 550 Per Day

Our client, a large Primary Care Trust seek to appoint a high calibre professional as Deputy Head of Informatics to take a lead in the trusts information analysis and interpretation service to support the achievement of the Trusts corporate strategies/objectives by working hand in hand with each of the relevant directorates.
 

Main Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities include:
Planning and managing the work of the following Information Sections:


o Provider Information
o Performance Management
o Commissioning Information
o Public Health Information
o Data Quality


• Ensuring the implementation, maintenance and development of appropriate technical, professional and quality standards across these information sections.

    • To provide managerial leadership, support and development for the listed Information Sections ensuring that targets and objectives, both internal and external, are met.
• Responsibility for Patient Care, including monitoring, diagnostics and investigations
• Line management responsibility for Information Management Sections, including performance monitoring, training and dealing with disciplinary issues
• To identify requirements for new posts in Information and to support the Head of Information in the recruitment and induction processes.
• Monitor performance and report on progress at various levels within the organisations as appropriate.
• To ensure that the information systems used for this area of work are sound and efficient in their operation and maximise the use of information technology.
