GROUP PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER WANTED IN INDUSTRIAL AND COMMERCIAL SUPPLIES.
My client is the UKs leading business to business supplier of industrial and commercial supplies and is part of a global corporation. With its head office based on the South Coast, they provide the very best customer service levels.
For over 30 years, my client has built a strong reputation based on reliability and excellent product range. They are currently turning over in excess of £30million in the UK and are part of a large European Group. In all, the Group offers over 200,000 products on the European market. My client has grown faster than any of its competitors and they plan to keep exceeding industry growth rates through various acquisitions.
There is currently a need to recruit a GROUP PRODUCT MARKETING MANAGER with a preference for B2B Direct Mail experience to drive sales and to become a key member of the long term future of this rapidly expanding organisation.
The Opportunity
You will increase the number of trading customers through RFM aligned with the strategic development of Product Marketing & Merchandising.
You will be responsible for a team of 4 Product Managers & 1 Buyer
You will have full responsibility for development and strategy for future products within the catalogue and other channels such as Web, Key Account Managers & Contact Centre
You will be responsible for Sales & Profit performance through all channels
You will get heavily involved in negotiations with current and new suppliers for current product range and future product ranges
You will be responsible for optimizing sales through the catalogue
You will be working closely with the Marketing Director and Managing Director and will get involved with supply chain & stocking of products in the warehouse to supplies directly to the customer.
The 4 key areas you will be responsible for are Product Offerings, Pricing, Negotiations and team management
You will get involved in all group products which will mean liaising with 19 other countries
This role has the scope to move into a Director role
The Credentials
You will ideally have a B2B direct mail background although my client will look at candidates with a prove product management background in a B2B industry
You will currently be in a Senior Product Manager role and looking to move upwards in your career
You must have experience of negotiating with suppliers and experience of running a team or the ability to run a team
You must have a strong man-management background and world class leadership qualities to drive the business forward.
Ideally you will have an academic background within Marketing, business & finance or Management but my client is happy to look at candidates with a strong commercial & marketing background.
You must have a can do positive attitude and hold a strong personality and the willingness to want to be the best at what you do.
You will possess exceptional interpersonal and partnership building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain high levels of customer trust and confidence.
