Non-Executive Chairman required for a new film Co, produced by children, based in Essex. An additional Non-Executive Director is also required.

The Non Execs should have experience and contacts in the media/TV/film/entertainment field and ideally in working with children.

1. The Market and the Company:

Our client is a new film company with a sole purpose of producing a full length feature film with children producing the film and running all aspects of it from web design and publicity through to editing the final cut and distribution. This includes writing, producing and directing. All these children will be mentored by adult professionals in the industry. The company was set up in 2006 and they have received a lot of interest in the film because of its USP and its commitment to the youth of the UK. The script has been written and a director has been selected. Both are children under the age of eighteen. The film will be made on the Isle of Wight and it has a number of supporters lined up, two of whom have confirmed involvement with the film.

2. Non-Executive Chairman & additional Non-Executive Director Requirements:

The executive board is seeking to strengthen their small management team with the introduction of a Chairman and additional Non- Executive Director who are required to offer help, advice and maybe contacts to assist the company in its production elements. ? Individuals with experience in filmmaking we understand are hard to come by but those with a background in entertainment or with contacts in the industry who may go on to help the children involved would be very welcomed. The company's relatively young executive board are looking to appoint a Chairman and Non-Executive Director who can bring financial, strategic and in depth business advice. We are looking for candidates with experience and contacts in the media/TV/film/entertainment fields and ideally in working with children. ? The company has a clear policy of adhering to the Protection of Children Act and they will apply for an enhanced CRB disclosure for any potential Non Exec. This is to safeguard the company as well as the children directly and we will need the consent of any potential NED's in order to apply for a disclosure from the police and other relevant authorities.

3. Business Plan:

It will be beneficial if the Non-Executive Chairman and additional Non Exec(s) wish to become shareholders in the Company to align the incoming Director's interest with those of the existing Directors. A Business Plan is available but we will require a signed Self? Certification Statement in order to comply with the current Financial Services and Markets Act (Financial Promotion) Order 2005 (FSA) legislation plus our Confidentiality/NDA form.
