A Non-Executive Director is required for an innovative start-up content community which helps users organise their digital entertainment lifestyles, based in London.
We are looking for candidates with highly successful backgrounds in search technology and new media who will be able to make a major strategic contribution to the company and add focus and experience to help this company establish itself as a major player.

It will be beneficial if the Non Execs wish to become shareholders in the Company to align the incoming NXD’s interest with that of the existing Directors who are all shareholders.

1. The Company & the Product:
1. Our client has formed a company which will be a multi-media content community with vertical search and social media functionality, available online and on mobiles.
2. Technology is always changing, however, mass-market users only care when technology is easy to use and provides benefits to them in their everyday lives. The internet has had a profound impact on the entertainment choices on offer, but users are not always sure where to go, or how to use the technology available.
3. Our client is simplifying the process for consumers to find and buy digital entertainment. They do this through a simple A,B,C tutorial process and will focus on the provision of 8 key entertainment services ranging from broadband TV & online gaming to online radio.
4. Our client’s objective is:
• to help users organise their digital entertainment lifestyle.
• to enable marketing customers to reach these customers.
• to set new standards in the retail of digital entertainment product.

2. Non-Executive Director Requirements:
1. Our client recognises the need to create a strong, reputable and high profile board structure for the Company and wishes to appoint two high calibre Non Execs.
2. The Non Execs should have worked at top level in online search technology or new media sector (social networks, online retail, online video etc) & have a strong track record in developing businesses and have a successful history of building early stage companies and maximising value to the point of exit.

3. Business Plan:
• It will be beneficial if the Non Execs wish to become shareholders in the Company to align the incoming NDX’s interest with that of the existing Directors who are all shareholders.
• A Business Plan is available but we will require a signed Self–Certification Statement in order to comply with the current Financial Services and Markets Act (Financial Promotion) Order 2005 (FSA) legislation plus our Confidentiality/NDA form. If you have not already signed these forms we will email them to you.
