A Non-Executive Director is required for an early stage Business Management Resource network company.
The company has been set up to provide client companies with immediate short term resources by way of senior experienced managers. Examples include providing someone to initiate and/or mange a project, providing contacts, mentoring the CEO or assisting the company accelerate achievement of its next stage of development. Members of the network will be provided with quality training and support plus guaranteed sales appointments and opportunities.
The Skills/experience we are looking for might include some or all of the following:
Maturity and experience in commercial aspects of business
Telesales or web based B2B sales operations
Experience in international franchising
A financial background
Pan-European commercial experience and/or commercial experience in North American markets
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with existing team members
Ten Board meetings are held each year (around Birmingham) and the Non-Executive Director will be expected to attend all Board meetings and also be available to advise/mentor the Chief Executive as required.
1. The Company:
Our client is an early stage company currently recruiting members/business managers to provide senior management resources to client organisations.
A market has been identified as under-targeted by mainstream consultants and Interim Management providers.
As a network business, the company will derive income from membership charges but will rely mainly on taking a proportion of fee revenue from projects carried out by members.
The company has acquired a licence for proprietary software to support selling by non-sales people through identifying areas where the member can add value to client companies. In addition members will be given training in personal achievement as an aid to sales performance.
Strategic alliances with a number of companies have been put in place to provide cross selling opportunities.
Future planned activities include Corporate Partnerships, franchising across European and North American markets.
2. Non-Executive Director Requirement:
The candidate must have the ability to contribute to the strategic development of the company and, although a formal financial qualification is not essential, the Non-Executive Director will need to understand the financial implications of the chosen strategic options.
Ten Board meetings are held each year (around Birmingham) and the Non-Executive Director will be expected to attend all Board meetings and also be available to advise/mentor the Chief Executive as required.
The candidate will need to demonstrate that he/she is a team player and able to integrate with the other Executive and Non-Executive Directors on the Board.
It is expected that the role will require approximately two days a month after the initial start-up phase.
It will be beneficial if the Non-Executive Director wishes to become a shareholder in the Company to align the incoming NED's interest with that of the existing Directors who are all shareholders.
A Business Plan is available but we will require a signed Self-Certification Statement in order to comply with the current Financial Services and Markets Act (Financial Promotion) Order 2005 (FSA) legislation plus our Confidentiality/NDA form.
