A Non-Executive Finance Director (FD) is required for a growing extreme sports clothing designer, importer and wholesaler based in Berks.
The Non-Executive FD will be expected to assist in the development of the companys business plan and financial projections. He/she will need to make a major contribution to the strategy and add focus and experience to help this company establish itself as a major brand.
The Skills/experience we are looking for are:
Formal Financial Qualifications
Financial expertise to assist with the financial modelling of the business and possible further funding rounds
Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work with existing team members
Strong corporate strategy skills
Experience of leisure or clothing sectors would be beneficial
It will be beneficial if the Non-Executive FD wishes to become an investing shareholder in the Company to align the incoming Director's interest with that of the existing Directors.
We are also looking for a Non Exec Chairman and Non Exec (Marketing).
1. The Company:
Our Client specialises in extreme sports clothing for the off road motocross and all terrain vehicle market.
The Company took time to develop its range and achieved £100k turnover last year.
Clothing is designed and manufactured to its clients exacting specifications.
A distributorship and a network of 15 dealers have already been established.
Discussions are well underway with further dealers and distributors seeking our clients products for the motocross sector in the UK and European markets.
The client has ambitious plans to expand the number of outlets, range of clothing and market sectors.
2. The Market:
The overall market size is in excess of 9 million dirt bikes, quads, minibikes snow mobiles globally. This market is growing substantially and is fuelled by cheap bike imports from China, making the sport more accessible to a wider public.
Motocross is one of the fastest growing sports in Europe, with some 350 clubs ranging from 250 members to a 1,000 members in the UK alone.
There are three national motocross series for children and three for adults. Each championship round attracts up to 10,000 spectators.
There are few competitors of quality protective clothing in the UK and European markets.
There is potential to move into other extreme sports, as well as the leisure market for branded clothing.
3. Non-Executive Finance Director (FD) Requirements:
Our client recognises the need to strengthen its Board and we are looking to appoint three Non-Executive Directors: 1) Chairman 2) FD 3) NED with a Sales & Marketing background.
We are looking for an experienced Non-Executive Finance Director (FD) to assist in the development of the companys business plan and financial projections. He/she will need to make a major contribution to the strategy and add focus and experience to help this company establish itself as a major brand.
The Skills/experience we are looking for are: formal Financial Qualifications, financial expertise to assist with the financial modelling of the business and possible further funding rounds, strong strategic skills, experience of leisure or clothing sectors would be beneficial.
The candidate will need to demonstrate that he/she is a team player and able to integrate with the other Directors & Non-Executive Directors on the Board.
It is anticipated that the role will require about 2 days per month.
It will be beneficial if the Non-Executive Director wishes to become an investing shareholder in the Company to align the incoming Director's interest with that of the existing Directors.
