Our client, a leading IT and business services company, that provides business consulting, systems integration, and IT and business process outsourcing services is looking to expand their central government programme delivery team based in central London.
 

We are looking for a successful Programme Director with a proven track record of bidding and leading large multi disciplinary teams, including third party subcontractors. You will be responsible for:- 

• Motivating and driving a high performance programme delivery team,
• Managing all phases of programme from set-up through to completion,
• Managing risk and implementing containment strategies,
• Managing project changes whilst maintaining the overall deadlines,
• Ensuring all aspects of programme governance are in place and functional i.e.; programme board, change control, quality control, project costings and budget management, project management processes and methodology (PRINCE II related),
• Overall management of deliverables to budget,
• Ensure resource requirements and relevant skills for each phase are available,
• Delivering high quality services and products

Naturally the successful candidate will need to have a high level of credibility and gravitas, with proven track-record of senior client engagement up to and including senior executive level and successfully run major multi-disciplinary programme in a commercial environment with a value c£100m revenue. This will be supported by your good commercial skills, people management working within a matrix organisation and managing cross-cultural teams as well as previous outsourcing experience.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to build relationships with key decision makers at CxO level, understand the customer business and how the central government market operates. Key to this role will be your experience and understanding the Government change initiative, experience and track record of senior engagements within Public Sector and your leadership of key deliverables.
