Programme manager – Government / Security - Manchester, North West
To £55k plus benefits, dependent on experience

Our client is a UK subsidiary of $27bn global organisation designing and manufacturing security and identity artefacts and solutions for government contacts.

Due to an upsurge in both contracts and new bid opportunities they require experienced programme management capabilities for complex multi discipline bid opportunities and / or contract implementations. You will coordinate and manage the activities of multiple project managers contributing work packages and project plans across engineering, operations, commercial, business development, IT and manufacturing activities. You will work in conjunction with technical development managers to formulate and define deliverables and have personal responsibility for the overall time estimates and programme plans.

Ideally you will have experience of PRINCE 2 project management methodology and have a strong awareness of governance and risk management across complex government facing, sensitive, multi disciplinary programmes. Ideal candidates will already have security clearance and a broad understanding of both dealing with government contacts as well as sector knowledge from either integrated manufacturing, security printing, security enabled artifacts (cards, CHIP, inter-operability), defence or energy projects or large government facing technology programmes.
