We are looking for an outstanding individual to join the Structured Finance (securitisation) group in Europe at Surveillance Analyst level. This position will join the RMBS business area.
The Surveillance team is an energetic and successful team operating in niche markets where innovation is key component of our working practise. There is no ceiling to opportunity within the group and the career route for high performing staff is highly attractive.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include acting as analyst on transactions that our client rated. As the surveillance analyst you will be responsible for monitoring all key aspects of the transactions within the portfolio. Key responsibilities include:
· Analyse performance of transactions and recommend appropriate course of action. · Contribute to a range of policy, process and project development. · Identify and research potential topics for publication. Write leading edge articles/reports for internal/external publication. · Liase with external clients and with a range of internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
· Excellent first degree (minimum 2:1 or equivalent), second degree preferably. · Relevant experience in financial markets, and an understanding of securitisation. · Coherent and fluent communicator, confident in dealing at all levels and presenting/validating a case to external parties where appropriate. · Able to work independently and quickly, proactively handling and seeking responsibility. · Numeracy and the ability to think analytically and to understand and evaluate complex issues; · The ability to manage competing priorities and manage one?s own time effectively; · The ability to work under pressure and within a team;
Advantageous:
· Ideally have worked in an originating bank and therefore have some background in RMBS, however this is not required. · Sound knowledge of credit legal and structural issues. · Have reviewed cash flow models previously.
