Excellent opportunity to join a global logistics organisation within their head office as Regional Director for Airfreight. Reporting to the European Operations Director, the role will have responsibility for Procurement, Capacity Management and Supplier Performance Management monitoring across Europe. The role will also take responsibility for analysing the potential to consolidate services (Gateways) and develop a strategy for the European part of this global project.
 

The role will involve rate negotiations with carriers, managing capacity requirements, support and liaison of the European Business Development teams, liaison with regional and area function, development of the airfreight strategy and working with the Director for Global Airfreight procurement.

To apply for this strategic role, candidates should have a minimum of 10 years experience in the freight forwarding industry at least 5 of which should be within airfreight or a cargo carrier environment.

In addition, it is essential that candidates are excellent communicators with highly developed customer relationship skills and the ability to lead, influence and analyse working within strict timeframes and competitive environments.
