They aim to do this by delivering quality improvement and staff development programmes that support specific government initiatives, through research, training and consultancy; and by supplying services directly to schools, colleges and training organisations.

As a Principal Researcher, you will assist in securing tenders and to support and manage a range of research projects.

The research areas focus on a range of a Equality and Diversity issues predominantly in the learning and skills sector. You will bid for research and development work, liaising with Business Development, the Operations Division and external partners.

Create,plan and cost research and development projects that respond to a range of tenders and research briefs. You will also lead and manage a portfolio of projects, managing the contracts and budgets, as well as recruit, train and manage specialist consultants to support specific project or programme activity.

Writing a range of articles, papers and reports including regular and ad-hoc reports for external audiences is another element of the role and planning, organising and presenting events for learning providers and others.

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience

* Experience and high levels of analytical and cognitive skills

* An understanding and up-to-date knowledge of a relevant equalities and diversity field

* Experience of research and development activity

* Experience of relevant research to include successful project management, budget management, monitoring, evaluation and dissemination.
