My client is a fast growing mobile operator and they are looking for a Roll Out Project Manager to be based out of either Beirut or the Ivory Coast. They need either French or Arabic language skills (plus English). BASIC FUNCTION - The Roll Out Project Manager is responsible to manage and implement significant projects and other activities. Management of technical projects in order to guarantee seamless cutover`s and launching of new services in a timely fashion and within budget and company objectives. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage multiple cross functional projects throughout their lifecycle. Coordinate cutover and relocation projects. Manage project budgets and resources. Draft and implement policies and procedures. Coordination of resources and deliverables. Ensure that the company adopts a clear and consistent approach to the management of projects; particularly those projects that impact multiple departments. Plans, directs and coordinates activities of designated projects to ensure that goals or objectives of projects are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budget. Prepares project reports for management, client or others. Confers with project personnel to provide advice and to resolves problems. Support where requested local and regional departments with the implementation and execution of projects. Conducts post implementation analysis and documents lessons learnt. In conjunction with the user community conduct system acceptance tests, and help with the deployment of new systems to ensure
that it does not negatively impact our customers and staff. Reviews purchase requisitions for accurate data and appropriate authorization. Obtains price quotations; supervises the preparation of complex bid specifications. Provides professional and technical assistance in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFP`s), contracts, and bid proposals; communicates with vendors, requisitioners, and staff; compares bids and evaluates options. Approves awarding of contracts; maintains central files of purchasing records. Supervises equipment, replacement, availability, and disposal of surplus materials; selects, trains, supervises, and evaluates technical and clerical staff. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Educational Background: Bachelor degree in Systems Engineering, Telecommunication Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineer; or equal through telecoms roll out and start up experience. Related Work Experience: Must have Telecommunications industry experience with 5 years in a Project Management role. Computer Proficiency: Computer literate. Knowledge of MS Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power point, Visio, Microsoft outlook, etc). Language Skills: English with either Arabic or French. Competencies Required - Experience in mobile telecom industry, must be GSM. Experience in rolling out new networks. Experience in relocation of production networks.
