You will own and develop complex end-to-end SAP Human Capital Management solutions that match a customer`s business needs. You will have the ability to develop in-depth understanding of the issues that face a CEO and Executive teams and identify specific needs and requirements by working closely with the customer from prospect to the close of an opportunity.
You will build your practice to be a significant revenue generator through thought leadership and business development. You will write and market business propositions and develop a team of influential, like-minded people. You will develop strategic relationships with partners, suppliers, and customers, influencing and assisting customers to articulate their business requirements. You will provide customers with tangible and practical consulting products and services by:
Assisting in providing direction and smooth delivery of your business/team competency and client expectations including vision and strategy for finance, process and controls design, shared services and outsourcing support, planning and performance management, budgeting, planning, forecasting and financial modelling to support strategic planning.
Delivering value that meets or exceeds clients` expectations.
Finding logical or innovative solutions to complex problems.
Continuously learning and mastering key technical, functional and professional skills.
Contributing as an effective team manager, ensuring utilisation, maintenance of competency and maintaining accountability.
Working closely with a variety of transformation, innovation, consulting and technical leads throughout Serco and with partners and ensure that propositions to customers are focused on the value the customer organisation will achieve through working with Serco, enabled by SAP and related technology products.
You will be expected to spend up to 20% of your time managing your team, 40% on business development and around 40% doing chargeable work. You will need to be fully mobile and willing to work away from home for extended periods.
The selection process includes verification of suitability of a your CV, telephone interview with line manager or nominated deputy with appropriate SAP skills to determine more about level of skill and allow you to find out more about the role. Suitable candidates will be invited for a full interview with the line manager (or nominated deputy) and another senior manager. You will be required to deliver a short presentation. Successful candidates may have a 2nd interview with other senior managers.
Skills, Knowledge, Qualifications
Proven ability to grow a practice and drive business development within a matrix organisation.
Over 10 years in a Business Consultancy, SAP Consultancy or IT Management role, giving a breadth of business, commercial and technical expertise
Able to operate at CEO and board level both within Serco and with the customer
Able to own and champion solutions across multiple areas of expertise and business process, including contributions by partner organisations
Accountable for the solution and ensure that all stakeholders across the matrix organisation have signed-off on implementation, delivery and support
Able to assist in the qualification of large or complex SAP opportunities, which require the allocation of pre-sales resource, utilising Sales methodologies and principles, in conjunction with the Sales Director and Sales Manager
Ensure that components of the design marry together to deliver the vision
Quantify benefits for the customer in business terms
Develop industry presence, thought leadership including whitepapers and conference presentations
Ability to develop business cases and manage budgets/performance.
