Function
The Sales Manager role, reporting to the VP Global Automotive Sales, will encompass:

  • Responsibility for the sales of embedded speech applications with the market focus-Automotive OEM’s and Tier1’s
  • Responsibility for achieving assigned sales quotas and personnel objectives in the EMEA region for licensing business and Professional Services.
  • Demonstrate speech enabled application during customer events and exhibitions
  • Diligently monitor and forecast sales using pipe-line sales cycle management techniques
  • Implement, maintain and measure an embedded speech market in the region with a focus on developing new business customers to secure and grow solutions based embedded speech technology sales in the territory.
  • Coordinate activities and administration work across departments within Nuance including Marketing, Legal, R&D and PS to ensure that the customers receive the essential support defined by Professional Services
  • Take a pro-active role in customer projects in the definition of clear objectives and milestones and the management of delivery from the Nuance team.
  • Distribute qualified sales leads and measure status and progress.
  • Track competitive activities and speech market trends and innovations
  • Report to the automotive management team on a daily basis all progress and activities on projects, forecasts, sales and all other business related matters.

Profile:

  • Fluency in German and English
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Good conceptual and analytical skills; capable of assessing, summarizing, diagnosing and recommending effectively.
  • Superb team worker with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrates to be over-achiever.
  • Self-starter and self-motivated.
  • Minimum of five years sales experience in technology, software applications solutions or equivalent industry.
  • Highly IT literate.
  • Willingness to extensive travel in EMEA region
