My client is a FTSE 100, British Transportation company with both regional and global operations. Over the last 10 years, the group has experienced phenomenal growth with turnover currently running at £70 million P/A. In the UK alone, the group now manages the bus and train networks across more than 40 towns and cities.

The group is currently recruiting for a Senior Internal Auditor to head up the IA function for the London area. The role with involves reporting directly into an Internal Audit Manager and will involve working from home, with up to 50PERCENT regional travel as and when required.

Responsibilities: - To develop, plan and deliver audits by providing an independent assessment of the effectiveness of management controls of key business projects across the UK. - Evaluate the finance and operational processes and conduct analyses focusing on risk management activity. - Formulate and manage change improvement programmes across the business. - Acting as the first point of contact for all Internal Audit assignments across the London area. - Taking leadership in ad-hoc audit projects. Person: - ACA or Qualified calibre accountants. - Public Practice background or previous Internal Audit experience within Industry. - Adaptable, pro-active, enthusiastic approach to workload with the ability to work autonomously. - Gravitas and previous exposure to working at Senior Management levels. - Impeccable interpersonal and communication skills.
