ROLE - Senior/Staff Process Engineer (NPI) - reporting to Global Head of NPI Engineering, based in USA - and responsible for:

Evaluate proposed design and processes for manufacturability. Provide guidance on manufacturing improvement and cost reduction activities. Evaluate existing volume production requirements and ascertain requirements and costing for product transfers and new product introductions. Apply engineering expertise and experience to development and planning of product transfers from high cost to low cost manufacturing regions. Interact and support other functions to achieve business deliverables. Lead and drive specific project or business initiatives in supporting Industrial Global strategy. Establish robust, repeatable and reproducible process parameters. Assure projects are properly managed throughout the various phases. Interface with production on all activities associated with new process or product implementation and transfers. Lead and manage cost improvement/reduction programs. Provide professional engineering methodologies and apply them hands-on to the product development process

The candidate will have:

-Previous Industrial Engineering experience - layouts, flows, capital speccing, methods, capability planning, manpower planning, etc - across a variety of manufacturing processes - especially sheet metal, plastics, and electro-mechanical assembly -Excellent project management skills, experience, and ideally some formal training. -BSc Degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent -Solid mix of mechanicals manufacturing process (especially sheet metal stampings, plastics), tooling, and product development to demonstrate both breadth and depth as an industry generalist expert. -Demonstrable experience with Lean manufacturing techniques -Previous experience of electro-mechanical system integration. -Understand Product Life Cycle process for New Production Introduction from design concept into volume production. -Have experience in transferring products from high cost manufacturing regions into low cost manufacturing regions. -Personality - self-confident, enthusiastic, friendly, positive, self-starting, competitive, venturesome, mobile, active, alert and independent -Fluent English a must, with other European languages a distinct advantage -Able to support 50PERCENT international travel -Well versed in all MS Office applications. -Ideally Autocad, SolidWorks and/or ProE proficiency. -Ideally Product Life Cycle process experience with NPI into low cost manufacturing regions -Ideally Six Sigma knowledge and experience.
