Supply Chain Senior Manager, £60.5k, Surrey

SALARY: £50,000 - £55,000 basic plus 10PERCENT bonus. ROLE: The Supply Chain Manager has overall responsibility for the strategy execution and daily co-ordination of operations.

Travel to the Distribution Centre in Leicestershire will be required on a weekly basis (including occasional overnight stays) and you will also be expected to travel to Europe regularly.

RESPONSIBILITIES: a) Implement and support the progress of the transformation of the Supply Chain function into a cost efficient Pan-European Function. b) Operational execution of Pan-European Supply Chain improvement initiatives. c) Participate in change projects. d) Management performance of Supply Chain operations including 3rd part logistic provider control. e) Co-ordination of inbound logistic Planning and Control. f) Coordinate with Strategic Sourcing for planning, selection, procurement and management of all related domestic transport services. g) Participate in transportation tendering and carrier selection for fine distribution. h) Manage logistic part of 3rd party pre-installation provider. i) Transportation track and trace. k) Implement Supply Chain core model according to European guidelines. l) Define and implement a process of

continuous improvement in processes procedures, methods and systems together with Business Units. m) Responsible for budget preparation, submission in time required and monthly checking of actual versus budgeted figures. n) Responsible of performance on operational SC Key Performance Indicators as agreed and meet the customers requirements in terms of Service Level Agreement. o) Responsible of domestic and international insurance management related to logistic activities. p) Inventory control and accuracy responsibility even in Regional or Satellite warehouses. q) Control accomplishments of SOX regulations. r) Responsible for all activities and deliverables of team-members (team of approx 6 people).

ESSENTIAL SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: a) You must have 5+ years management experience with the ability to deal with senior management at a European and local level. b) At least 3-5 years experience in Supply Chain and Logistics from within a large corporate organisation. c) Strong Import/Export knowledge with experience managing 3rd party suppliers. d) Experience managing budgets. e) You will need to be personably credible with the assertiveness to challenge suppliers and senior management where necessary. f) Other European languages would be an advantage.

You may have experience/knowledge in the following: Logistics Manager, Supply Chain Director, Business Analyst (Logistics / Supply Chain), Pan-European Senior Executive etc.
