Technical Governance Manager

Salary up to £65,000 plus excellent benefits

As a market leading food processing organisation our client is uniquely positioned as the market leader across a number of alcohol categories. Following a huge restructure within the organisation they have identified the need to recruit a highly experienced head of engineering to enhance the site capability as well as drive a world class initiative driven from corporate head office

The Role: Define the strategic direction for the site and maintain and improve management systems for QEHandS compliance Drive continuous improvement in quality and hygiene management across site and the supply chain Work with the Leadership team to design and deliver a strategic five-year plan that focuses on cost, quality, service and performance Ensure agreed global QEHandS best practice for operational and people development is identified and utilised to support World Class Manufacturing

The Requirements: Of graduate calibre and qualifications in Food Safety (HACCP), Quality (Lead Auditor ISO 9000) and Environmental Audit, you will have senior level Health and Safety experience gained ideally within a food packaging environment. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a proven ability to keep up to date with HandS best practice and to effectively develop and implement strategic HandS policies. A good knowledge of Legionella compliance is essential With excellent communication, persuasive and influencing skills, you will have the ability to and the tenacity to force the QEHandS agenda at all levels of the business by engaging line management across the business and effectively manage relationships with all appropriate enforcement authorities.
