Our client is the leading provider of healthcare software solutions and services for clinical decision support, informatics, triage nursing and assessment. As the original creators of groundbreaking Healthcare software, their services benefits over 50 million people in England. An opportunity has now arisen for a Technical Support Manager to join their team.

This is the ideal position for an enthusiastic candidate with a strong technical background and excellent managerial skills.

As a Technical Support Manager you will manage the Technical Support function, the technical arm within the Operations division, that’s responsible for providing support for our client’s product portfolio. In addition to management duties, you will also liaise with senior representatives within various customer organisations. This role is required to join a 24x7x365 escalation management rota for which additional payment is made.

Your main duties will include:

- ensuring the Technical Support team performs its role with efficiency and accuracy
- managing the team including: appraisals, recruitment, disciplinary actions

    - co-ordinating change and problem management
- identifying and generating training requirements for the team
- acting as an escalation point for customer concerns
- providing cover for the Head of Operations as and when required

To succeed as the Technical Support Manager you will have proven managerial experience, and a strong technical knowledge and background gained within a technical support environment. You will also need excellent communication skills including report writing, the ability to work with a range of people, and a friendly and approachable manner.
