Business Development Vice President

The firm is looking to recruit a Business Development Vice President to work in the London office.

2. Job Function Summary The firm is looking to recruit a Vice President to work in Business Development within the London office. The successful candidate will report to one of the Managing Directors of the department and will be responsible for leveraging a strong understanding of the hedge fund marketplace to assist in identifying, recruiting, and attracting internal Portfolio Managers and other trading strategies and businesses for the firm. The firm has historically considered a wide range of investments / trading strategies that are either profitable or soon-to-be profitable. The Business Developer would be responsible for sourcing and reviewing potential portfolio managers, , interfacing with recruiters and referrors, conducting due diligence, preparation and completion of risk limits/surveys, negotiation of terms and general support with respect to business development. The Business Development Vice President would subsequently work with the Managing Director and Senior Management for capital allocation.

3. Principal Responsibilities § Involved in the research, development, and execution of the firm?s business strategy § Source potential investments / trading strategies § Identify, evaluate, recruit, and engage potential candidates § Work closely with industry contacts (ie Prime Brokerage / Capital Introduction) and with recruiting firms § Attend hedge fund conferences § Asset allocation decision involvement § Make recommendations to Senior Management

4. Qualifications/Skills Required § A demonstrated outstanding record of professional and academic achievement § Relevant experience of at least 5 years in the financial markets § Strong technical and analytical skills § Strong communication and presentation skills § Solid industry contacts § Ability to multi-task and manage several projects simultaneously, strong attention to detail
