Responsibilities

• Specific responsibilities will include managing all legal matters relating to the projects/construction both for existing operations and for new projects.
• This includes but is not limited to advice with respect to proposed commercial strategies; negotiation and drafting of complex agreements and other documentation; and negotiation and resolution of legal and business issues encountered in project operations.
• The successful candidate will be a member of the Executive Management Team and will provide senior management and CEO with well-founded legal reasoning and strategic insights necessary to protect the interests and reputation of the corporation.
• This individual will be responsible for the entirety of legal advice provided in respect of the growth, profitability, direction and operation of the company’s commercial interests and partnerships. The VP Legal will also proactively identify potential problems and devise creative solutions that strike an effective balance between cost, return & risk.

Requirements

• Provide expert advice on FIDIC’s General & Particular Conditions concerning Civil Construction Contract.

The successful candidate will be a qualified legal practioner of the highest calibre, dynamic and fluent is commercial and construction related law and legal practices. You background will show a mix of in house executive , level roles, within the construction or related industries, as well as specialist construction related practice work. This will be complimented, ideally, with a construction related qualification such as RICS.
