Our client is a specialist development company that helps businesses and organisations make the transition from passive consumers to active generators of green power- primarily form large wind turbines on their own land. The business is a market leader in the development, financing, procurement, construction and operations of renewable power generation assets.

Reporting to the Group Board, the CEO will have overall strategic and operational responsibility for the ongoing successful development and commercial growth of the company.

The CEO will have overall responsibility for the delivery of a "cradle to grave" service that enables large corporates to take advantage of wind power on their own sites using large scale turbines. All aspects of wind projects are covered: economic and environmental case; screening and definition; development including planning consent; turbine selection and purchasing; construction management; operations management.

The CEO will have responsibility for:

# Client management and successful project delivery
# Commercial growth and full P&L responsibility
# Contract negotiations and transactions
# Setting and delivering targets
# Liaison with key industry stakeholders
# Staff management and development

Candidates will have successfully held senior management positions within the power industry, preferably wind.

Exceptional leadership and motivational skills are important as is an entrepreneurial flair and ability to engage with and communicate successfully with board level clients within FTSE 250 companies.
