Data Migration Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Data Migration Analyst (MS Excel) London, 6 Month Contract, £275 - £325 per day

The Data Migration Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Data Migration Analyst (MS Excel) is a highly customer facing role responsible for the analysis and mapping of data from legacy contract management and billing systems to a new pan European billing solution.

The Data Migration Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Data Migration Analyst (MS Excel) will support a technical migration analyst; be highly client facing; understand and map business data requirements; determine the origin and destination of data and develop mitigating strategies for redundant data; identify data held in legacy applications, assist in the mapping of that data to the new environment and liaise with the business with regards strategies for data that doesn`t naturally fit; work closely with external vendors to ensure data is migrated correctly to the new application; work closely with the technical migration team to ensure the migration activity is completed according to plan; support the QA activities of the project to ensure applications can be tested using migrated data and develop working relationships with key colleagues and stakeholders in the European businesses and act as the interface between the business and technical teams.

Candidates for the Data Migration Business Analyst / Data Analyst / Data Migration Analyst (MS Excel) role must have strong experience of business analysis through the full systems life cycle; experience of data migration projects; strong analytical skills identifying, analysing, documenting and presenting business requirements and translating them for IT purposes; exposure to data modelling and data mining; experience defining conversion and migration procedures including data migration, check-totals, report agreement and data cleansing; MS Excel and excellent communication skills. Experience of data warehousing, data marts, large relational databases (MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server) and Excel (Pivot Tables, advanced functions such as VLOOKUP) and spoken German are an advantage (not essential).
